Supporting the next generation

Curiosity today.
Possibilities tomorrow.

The next breakthrough begins with the chance to explore, ask questions and put ideas into practice.

At Kaveri Consulting, we believe learning grows stronger when science, technology, engineering and mathematics connect with real challenges. We support opportunities that help emerging talent develop practical skills, gain industry perspective and see where their curiosity can lead.

Learning meets real-world work

A connection with CSIRO’s Generation STEM Links

Kaveri Consulting was listed as an industry partner for a paid machine learning internship facilitated by CSIRO’s Generation STEM Links program. The placement was designed to connect tertiary STEM learning with a hands-on technical challenge.

The published project brief brought together astronomical data, software engineering and intelligent systems. Applications for this specific placement have closed.

About Generation STEM Links
The project brief

From data in the sky to ideas on the ground

The internship brief centred on exploring how machine learning could help detect and classify unusual astronomical events from Zwicky Transient Facility alerts. It outlined a broad learning experience across four areas:

01

Machine learning & AI

Working with Python and modern tools to explore astronomical images, time series and anomaly detection.

02

Scientific & aerospace modelling

Applying physics, numerical methods, coordinate transformations and simulation to astronomical targets and sensing systems.

03

Autonomy & navigation

Exploring connections between detection, guidance, navigation, control and decision-making.

04

Embedded engineering

Exploring sensors, microcontrollers, telemetry and practical approaches to testing and integration.

These are areas described in the placement brief; they are not claims about completed research or delivered capabilities.

Why it matters

Making room for the next generation

Practical experience can help students connect what they study with the way teams solve problems: understanding a challenge, exploring data, testing ideas and communicating what they learn. We value the fresh perspectives emerging talent brings to that process.

Our interest in STEM reflects the same curiosity behind Kaveri’s technology projects—bringing different disciplines together, learning by doing and building with purpose.
